How to Care for Refinished Cabinets
Gentle cleaning and careful early use help protect the finish while it continues to cure.
During the early cure period
- Use handles rather than pushing directly on doors and drawer fronts.
- Wipe water and spills promptly.
- Avoid aggressive cleaners, adhesive pads, and abrasive sponges.
- Do not hang damp towels over freshly finished doors.
Routine cleaning
Use a soft microfiber cloth with water and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Test unfamiliar products in a hidden area.
Heat and moisture
Use exhaust fans and avoid prolonged steam or standing water. Check plumbing leaks promptly, especially under sinks and around bathroom vanities.
