Our Cabinet Refinishing Process

1. Walkthrough and scope

We document the door and drawer count, materials, existing coating condition, repairs, hardware plan, colors, sheen, and access requirements. The written estimate should identify what is included and excluded.

2. Labeling and protection

Doors and drawer fronts are removed and labeled. Floors, counters, appliances, walls, openings, and nearby surfaces are protected before sanding or coating begins.

3. Cleaning and preparation

Cabinet surfaces are cleaned to remove cooking residue, hand oils, cleaners, and contaminants. Surfaces are sanded to promote adhesion. Damage, open seams, unused hardware holes, and other repairs are addressed according to the agreed scope.

4. Priming

Primer selection depends on the substrate and existing finish. The primer must bond to the prepared surface, provide an appropriate base for the topcoat, and help manage staining where required.

5. Finish application

Doors and drawer fronts are sprayed for an even appearance. Cabinet boxes are isolated from the room and finished with controlled application. Coat counts and flash times follow the selected product system and job conditions.

6. Cure and reassembly

Dry-to-touch is not the same as fully cured. Components are handled carefully, then reinstalled and adjusted. Homeowners receive early-care guidance to reduce damage while the coating continues to cure.
